We challenged Interior Designer Joanna Landais to make the impossible possible:
To design the same nursery space two ways, over two days. First as a nurturing and unique baby nursery, then as a playful and magical toddler space. In other words - can Joanna make pigs fly!?
At Blue Almonds we know that our customers are discerning parents who are looking for modern, unique and inspiring ways to style their nursery, while also being mindful about sustainability and reusing key elements. It’s quite the challenge, but we knew Joanna would rise to it!
The Brief:
- Create a baby nursery with nature at its heart, with a calming, nurturing feel, incorporating modern elements
- Re-use key elements to help reduce waste
- Create a toddler room that is playful with an adventurous spirit, design to encourage independence, exploration and imagination
The project isn’t just about decoration, it’s about storytelling, creating memories, lifestyle and growth. The design concepts focus on the evolving needs of a growing family, seamlessly connecting the nursery and toddler room, while giving each its own identity.
We understand that creating a child’s room isn’t just about style — it’s about creating memories, supporting developmental stages, and building an environment that nurtures both parent and child. This partnership is our way of helping families invest in rooms that are not only beautiful but deeply meaningful and practical.
When is this Happening?
The project will be taking place on the 19th and 20th of May 2025, with the completed nursery available to view in store for the coming months, while both the toddler space and the nursery will be available to view online.
How can I see what is happening?
In the week commencing the 27th May, we’ll be sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes looks, design tips, and interviews with the interior designer on Instagram and on our website.
